IBS Intelligence, in a piece by Vriti Gothi, spotlighted Allvue’s 2026 GP Outlook Survey, which finds that although AI is a top priority for private market firms, limited data maturity is holding back real impact. Fragmented systems, manual workflows, and weak integration remain key challenges, with only a small share of firms reporting highly mature data environments, underscoring the need for stronger data infrastructure to fully realise AI’s potential.
The survey also highlights that many firms still rely heavily on spreadsheets, face gaps in internal expertise, and struggle with inconsistent reporting, all of which limit their ability to generate reliable insights. Firms with more advanced data capabilities, however, are already seeing stronger performance, pointing to data maturity as a key driver of competitive advantage.
