Vista Equity Partners (Vista), a leading global investment firm, acquired AltaReturn in 2019 and merged it with Black Mountain Systems (Black Mountain). The resulting entity was named Allvue Systems (Allvue).

Since the formation of Allvue, the company has grown to match the scale of its customer expansion. Currently, Allvue serves more than 500 clients, including 120 private debt managers, six of which rank among the top 10 largest in the industry. In 2024, Allvue launched a Private Debt Essentials solution to support emerging private debt managers throughout every stage of the investment lifecycle.

In April of 2025, the company announced the Allvue Nexius Intelligent data platform, an AI-ready, cloud-native solution designed to eliminate data silos, automate workflows, and deliver real-time insights for private capital markets.

In May of 2025, Allvue launched the first agentic AI platform purpose-built for the alternatives market. The Allvue Agentic AI Platform blends intelligent automation with contextual insights to accelerate decision-making across the investment lifecycle. Alongside it, Allvue introduced Andi, a browser-based AI assistant that enhances navigation and product support across the Credit Front Office suite.
